Position
Alina Radu has 28 years of experience in the legal profession and co-heads NNDKP’s Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practices. She also co-leads the teams providing legal assistance in the financial services sector, including on payment services, insurance, fintech and consumer protection matters. Alina advises on a wide range of domestic and multi-jurisdictional financing transactions, both borrower-side and lender-side, including in regulated sectors such as renewable energy, oil & gas, healthcare, and financial services. She provides strategic advice on projects with novelty elements requiring significant structuring input, including projects that involve deep regulatory expertise or complex contractual arrangements. Her professional track record includes major mergers and acquisitions in the banking sector, notably the first cross-border mergers achieved in the Romanian banking sector and privatizations that have shaped the local market and business environment. In the capital markets area, she advises clients on equity financing and debt financing operations and on the full spectrum of regulatory and compliance matters.
