Thomas Talén has extensive expertise in HR-related legal advice in most aspects of employment law in both private and public sectors.

Talén has experience from, among other things, corporate restructuring and personnel-related issues, including follow-up of individual working conditions, as well as dispute resolution. He regularly assists clients with questions about hiring of personnel and temporary employment.

Thomas Talén joined Ro Sommernes as a partner in July 2025, having previously held partner positions at Simonsen Vogt Wiig AS, Deloitte Advokatfirma AS, and Bull Advokatfirma AS. In addition to his legal practice, Talén holds several board positions.

Talén currently serves as a judge at the Association Court (Foreningsdomstolen), Chair of JUC's Employment Law Network, and Chair of the Appeals Board at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO).

Thomas Talén holds a Master of Laws from the University of Oslo (2002) and was admitted to the bar in 2004.
