Counsel

Riccardo joined the firm in 2026 as Counsel. Prior to this, he worked with leading Italian and international law firms and served as General Counsel of a well-known large-scale retail group.

He focuses on corporate law and compliance, with solid experience advising companies and complex corporate groups on the integrated management of legal, regulatory and organisational matters, as well as on the structuring of governance and control frameworks aligned with the applicable regulatory environment. In the field of compliance, he assists clients with the design, implementation and updating of organisational, management and control models pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 231/2001 (“231 Models”), as well as with risk assessments, the mapping of sensitive processes, and the development of procedures, protocols and control systems aimed at preventing criminal offences and mitigating risk.

In the area of privacy and data protection, he serves as Data Protection Officer (DPO), supporting organisations in ensuring compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), adapting internal processes and overseeing ongoing compliance requirements, including interactions with internal functions and competent authorities.

With respect to corporate governance, he advises management on the definition and review of corporate structures, with particular focus on delegation of powers and proxies, decision-making and information flows, and internal control systems. He also works closely with Supervisory Bodies under Legislative Decree 231/2001, serving in numerous engagements as external member and chair.

Adjunct Professor at LUMSA University, Director of the Master’s programme for in-house counsel, and lecturer in postgraduate programmes in business criminal law and MBA courses.

Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the commercial and corporate law section of the law review Ius in Itinere (legal journal), and author of numerous articles and publications on corporate and commercial law with leading Italian publishers.
