Emilie is a partner in the transaction tax and tax controversy department and has fifteen years of experience. Emilie is dealing with all tax aspects of M&A transactions (buy side and sell side), acquisition- and financing structures, (cross-border) corporate restructurings and management incentive plans. Emilie’s practice also includes assistance in relation to tax controversy matters especially with regard to withholding taxes, corporate restructurings and management incentives.

Emilie obtained a law degree from the University of Brussels and pursued an LL.M. at the University of Chicago under a scholarship granted by the Belgian American Educational Foundation (BAEF).

Emilie, a certified tax advisor and lawyer registered with the Brussels and New York bars. A KULeuven guest lecturer, she frequently writes and speaks on Belgian tax issues and serves on the editorial boards of esteemed tax journals, Beleggingsfiscaliteit and Tijdschrift voor Fiscaal Recht. 

Emilie was named in the 2024 and 2026 Legal 500 as well-versed in transactional tax and tax disputes.
