Rupinder Jagdev is a Director in the Family & Child Care department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors’ Birmingham office. Rupinder undertakes the majority of her own advocacy and has a varied caseload which includes; injunctions, care proceedings and divorces.

She also has extensive experience in public law proceedings and private children law matters which include complex cases concerning non-accidental injuries and interlinked immigration issues. Additionally, Rupinder provides advice and assistance to local refugees on a regular basis.

Rupinder is a Director in the Family and Child Care department based in the Birmingham office.

Rupinder handles all aspects of family and child care matters, primarily dealing with public and private law proceedings, including care proceedings, injunctions and child arrangements. She undertakes the majority of her own advocacy and represents children through their guardians, parents and other family members. Rupinder has also represented parents in the High Court in wardship proceedings and child abduction matters.

Over the years, Rupinder has built up significant experience in dealing with cases involving non-accidental injuries, interlinked immigration issues, forced marriages, honour based violence, FGM and allegations of sexual abuse. She is committed to working in the legal aid sector and undertaking pro bono work, whereby she regularly attends pro bono clinics with local domestic violence agencies and refuges. Rupinder is currently a volunteer at the pro bono family law advice clinic in conjunction with Birmingham City University and is a mentor to students at the University of Law.

Rupinder is fluent in Punjabi.

She attained her LLB (Dual Honours) in Law and Criminology at Keele University before completing her LPC at the College of Law, Birmingham.
