Position
Partner Hanne Heltne is specialized in technology and intellectual property rights, with extensive experience and significant expertise in this area. She assists with everything from negotiating agreements, securing rights, and providing support in rights disputes and M&A, and brings business competence from several sectors.
Heltne has broad experience in technology development projects, complex rights agreements, licensing agreements and collaboration agreements, IT contracts, AI, innovation, marketing law, as well as enforcement and commercialization of rights. She has particularly strong experience in the sectors of life sciences, energy, industry, consumer technology, oil services, fisheries and aquaculture, retail, and software.
With many years of experience as an in-house lawyer at Equinor and Schibsted, Heltne has substantial commercial and operational experience from both industry and the media sector. In addition, she worked for many years with litigation in the intellectual property field at Advokatfirmaet Schjødt and has long-standing experience handling disputes in patents, trademarks, copyright, and marketing law.
Heltne is ranked as Next Generation Partner in Legal500 and was in February 2025, for the fourth consecutive year, ranked by Norwegian law firm peers in the annual ranking of Norway's best lawyers in the Norwegian financial magazine Kapital. She was ranked as no. 6 in the IPR category main list, up from 7th in 2024.
