Attorney

Roel Menning joined the Labor and Employment Law Department at Wijn & Stael as an attorney in 2025. He advises and assists employers, employees and works councils with dismissal cases and issues in respect of contractual clauses. He also advises on the activities, rights and powers of works councils.

Focused and unifying Roel is a hard worker who effortlessly focuses on the crux of the matter at hand: what is most essential for the client and which options are best? Although he is mainly called upon to advise and assist employers, he keeps the interests of employees in mind as well: “I like to use my legal expertise to find practical solutions for my clients. Wherever possible, I aim to achieve a win-win situation for everyone concerned.”

Management experience During his study, Roel was active in various committees and participation bodies. He was also a member of the assessment panel of the national reaccreditation committee for law programs (landelijke heraccreditatiecommissie voor rechtenopleidingen). His Master's thesis was on the subject of the package comparison (pakketvergelijking) in Dutch labor and employment law.
