Position

Stephen advises clients on a wide range of property matters, with a focus on commercial leases, landlord and tenant estate management, and complex property transactions. He manages clients’ property portfolios, handling lease agreements, rent reviews, licences, dilapidations, renewals, and dispute resolution. Stephen provides practical, commercially-focused advice to ensure property issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.

Career

Stephen has built extensive experience in commercial property over several decades, including providing external support to the Land Registry’s Property Asset Management division for 25 years. In this role, he managed the Land Registry’s regional offices across England and Wales, handling acquisitions, disposals, and leasehold management. Stephen also maintains strong working relationships with major UK property developers, such as Bowmer + Kirkland Limited and Clowes Developments (UK) Limited, advising on large-scale commercial leasehold portfolios. He began his career with a training contract at Flint Bishop in 1982 and has since developed deep expertise in property law and portfolio management.
