Sabine is a partner in the Rotterdam office of Sjöcrona van Stigt, where her practice focuses on fraud and economic criminal law, including complex corruption, sanctions and environmental criminal cases, as well as criminal defence of medical institutions under investigation. Her broader practice encompasses serious and high-profile criminal matters across the full spectrum of general criminal law.
Among her most notable cases, Sabine - together with her colleague Boudewijn van Eijck - successfully defended the sole acquitted suspect in the MH17 prosecution, the largest criminal case in the Netherlands this century.
Sabine is actively engaged in the international criminal law community. She currently serves as co-Chair of the Criminal Law Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA) and regularly speaks at IBA conferences on criminal law topics.
Sabine completed her postgraduate specialist training in criminal law at the renowned Willem Pompe Institute.
