Mr. Toskov graduated as a Master of Law from the Law Faculty of the University of National and World Economy in Sofia in 2009, and obtained a PhD in Law from the same university in 2021. He is currently undertaking a course in English Law and Legal Skills from the British Law Centre. Mr. Toskov is a certified mediator.
Before becoming part of the EUROLEX team in 2023, Mr. Toskov has had over ten years of practice working as an inhouse counsel for several companies operating on the Bulgarian market. From 2007 to 2012 he was employed with Coface, one of the top world leaders in credit insurance and financial services, and headed the Claims and Collection Department from 2010 to 2012. From 2012 to 2013 Mr. Toskov worked for Etem Bulgaria, part of the Greek Viohalco Group, and from 2013 to 2016 he was part of the Legal Collection Team at Raiffeisenbank (Bulgaria), where he handled a portfolio of over 1900 cases in different stages – from court proceedings, to enforcement and insolvency, as well as debt restructuring and negotiation.
From 2016 until joining EUROLEX, Mr. Toskov was a legal adviser in the Bulgarian Deposit Insurance Fund, actively involved in the proceedings of the biggest bank bankruptcy in Bulgaria, and also taking part in several workgroups related to changes in the banking and commercial legislation.
During his time in EUROLEX, Mr. Toskov has taken part in several important projects, including the overall creation of a sanctions compliance policy for a mining company and its subsidiaries, legal advice regarding the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, and legal representation of a municipally-owned enterprise
Mr. Toskov is the author of a book on vicarious liability in Bulgarian law, a coauthor in a book examining the European Energy Union, as well as multiple articles in specialised academic journals.
