Career
Samuel Král focuses his practice on legal advice in the areas of
IT law, cybersecurity, intellectual property, franchising and
general business-to-business contracts. His clients include
Czech and international companies from the IT, online services,
financial services and manufacturing sectors.
Samuel has extensive experience across the entire lifecycle of
intellectual property within companies spanning various industries,
including IT, electronics manufacturing, automation and robotics,
game development, film and series production, as well as the
production and sale of perfumes and cosmetics. In addition, he
possesses broad expertise in IT and cybersecurity, covering areas
such as copyright scope assessment and licensing audits (including
OpenSource), drafting license agreements, preparing and reviewing
contracts for the supply, development or servicing of information
systems – including large projects worth billions. His experience also
extends to cybersecurity audits and supporting the implementation of
new legislation in this field.
Samuel is accredited by the Industrial Property Office to provide IP
Scan and IP Enforcement services for the Ideas Powered for
Business – SME Fund grant program.
He studied at the Faculty of Law at Charles University and in England.
Professionally, he spent two years with the IP team at the
international law firm Baker McKenzie and over four years with the
IP/ICT team at Havel & Partners.
Samuel is a frequent speaker at local and international conferences
and has authored several dozen academic and popular articles,
mostly about IP law and cybersecurity.
