Career

I work for those with asbestos related diseases, particularly mesothelioma. Having joined Fieldfisher in 2017, I was promoted to partner in 2021.

Whilst heading up their department in Manchester I travel to see clients in their homes wherever they are based.

I am one of a small number of experts in this area of law and I have over 29 years experience of personal injury work.

I have represented hundreds of clients successfully, I have always had an interest in injury and disease caused in the workplace and have extensive knowledge about the construction industry in many different sectors.

I value the chance to seek accountability for my clients who have been wronged by their employers and others, and I am very proud of the work that I do.

In addition, I have campaigned for the rights of those seeking justice. I spent many years advising APIL who fight for the rights of those injured or with an industrial disease whilst sat on their executive committee and before that I was the appointed coordinator of their regional group.

I have also sat on the Government's oversight committee of the Diffuse Mesothelioma Scheme where I could ensure the fairness of the scheme for those affected with the disease.

Training others is a good way to help professional who deal with asbestos diseases, I have spoken at legal and medical conferences including the British Thoracic Oncology Group / Mesothelioma UK training day.

My clients all benefit from Asbestos Support Group advice and so to support the work that they do I have chosen to raise funds for them each year by undertaking challenges of increasing difficulty. Raising awareness of the disease as well as money is a valuable contribution.

Memberships

I am a senior litigator of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and accredited for my expertise as an Asbestos Specialist with APIL.
