Jan-Erik Sverre is head of Kvale`s department for Employment, which consists a total of ten lawyers. He primarily advises on employment law, litigious matters and real estate transactions.
Jan-Erik has extensive practical experience of matters such as reorganisations and downsizings, transfers of undertaking, permanent appointment, temporary appointment/hiring of workers, personnel conflicts, dismissal with and without notice, whistleblowing cases, temporary lay-offs, working hours, corporate democracy, data protection and pension issues, as well as collective labour law. Jan-Erik has in-depth knowledge of the Civil Service Act and the Working Environment Act, and frequently advises public and private undertakings on the various sanctions and penalties available under employment law.
Jan-Erik is regularly engaged to assist with whistleblowing cases, and acts as the whistleblowing secretariat for various businesses. He has previously advised on a number of high-profile whistleblowing cases.
Jan-Erik Sverre received his practising certificate in 2007, and was awarded Supreme Court rights of audience in 2016.
