Hillevi is head of Kvale's department for Banking and Finance. Hillevi has previously lead the internal legal unit of Nordea’s Wholesale Banking division providing legal advice to departments such as Corporate & Investment Banking and Markets. Before that, she worked as an inhouse counsel at Swedish Export Credit corporation plus many years in the banking and finance department of law firm Vinge in Stockholm and Thommessen in Oslo. She has thus accumulated extensive practical experience and knowledge of the financing business from the inside.

Hillevi works with financing transaction in areas ranging from regular loans to bond loans, hybrid capital, derivatives, structured products, cash management products and related financial regulatory matters.

Hillevi has also worked within M&A and corporate law, both in Norway and Sweden and has broad experience of international transactions. During her time as inhouse counsel in Norwegian based FMCC company Orkla ASA she worked up a solid M&A experience from handling the legal aspects of transactions all the way from planning it, negotiating, signing and closing until implementation of large multinational M&Atransactions as well as smaller and add-on acquisitions, divestitures of companies or parts thereof, larger and smaller intra group reorganizations. With experience both as inhouse counsel and external advisor, she has earned a sound business mindset and is good at putting together suitable teams.
