Sofia Erifyli Karathanasi is a professional support lawyer within the Corporate team of AKD in Luxembourg. She advises multinational clients, including private equity firms and investment funds, on complex corporate matters and financing transactions.

She has extensive experience in the set-up, restructuring and liquidation of legal structures and provides counselling in M&A, joint venture structures, cross-border reorganizations.

Prior to joining AKD, Sofia worked in the Luxembourg domiciliation and corporate services industry where she was responsible for a diversified portfolio of clients, acting as the contact person between the investors and various agents/managers. Before that, she was a litigation attorney-at-law in Greece for five years, where she focused on banking, commercial and tax litigation matters, and advised legal entities on various corporate issues.

She is appreciated by her clients for her direct and practical advice.

Sofia provides counselling to Greek entities/individuals who wish to invest through Luxembourg or are involved in transactions with Luxembourg interest.
