Fanos specialises in all aspects of dry shipping, P&I and Defence, as well as international trade and multi jurisdiction commercial disputes. He is known for his detailed knowledge of the law, clear commercial and tactical advice.

He regularly acts for a variety of clients, including P&I Clubs, H&M insurers, shipowners, managers, charterers, operators and traders.

Fanos advises on a wide range of disputes arising under Charterparties and bills of lading (including, off-hire, deviation, demurrage, cargo claims, off spec bunkers, speed and performance, letters of indemnity); shipbuilding contracts, memorandums of agreement and various commercial contracts.

As his "strong track record" shows, Fanos has extensive experience in London arbitrations (LMAA, ICC, and LCIA), the English Courts and ADR, in particular mediation.

Fanos is a Supporting Member of the LMAA and speaks Greek.

He is recognised in directories as a Ranked and Notable Practitioner in Shipping.
