Fernando Aguilar de Carvalho began his career as a lawyer in 1992 and joined Uría Menéndez when it merged with Proença de Carvalho & Associados in 2010.

His practice focuses on the various areas of litigation, with an emphasis on collective actions and private enforcement, as well as domestic and international arbitration.

Having completed part of his studies in South Africa, he is the head of Uría Menéndez’s African Desk and has a strong client base and expertise in the region.

From 1995 to 1996, Fernando combined his role as a lawyer at Proença de Carvalho & Associados with work as an in-house legal advisor at Hewlett-Packard Portugal.

He heads Uría Menéndez’s litigation team and co-heads the international arbitration team.
