Gonçalo Reino Pires is a partner of Uría Menéndez's Lisbon office.

He joined the firm in 2019 as head of the planning practice area. Previously, he was a partner at the law firm Serra Lopes, Cortes Martins & Associados.

Gonçalo has 25 years’ experience advising public and private sector clients on urban and spatial planning and the environment, areas on which he has focused since the beginning of his career.

He advises on all areas of urban planning law in the context of transactions and the development of residential, commercial, service, industrial and logistics projects. In particular, he specialises in planning instruments, licensing procedures, urban and land restructuring, and environmental impact assessments.

Gonçalo teaches on postgraduate courses at various universities and frequently speaks at conferences on the topic of urban planning law.
