Counsel

Afonso Choon joined the Lisbon office of Uría Menéndez in 2012 and became a Counsel in 2024.

Afonso was seconded to Uría Menéndez’s Madrid office for five months in 2018.

He specialises in public law, in particular general administrative law, public contracts and public law litigation.

Afonso advises public and private entities on administrative procedures (e.g. public procurement, licensing, regulatory) and in litigation involving all aspects of public law. He also advises on transactions involving energy and natural resources.
