White Collar Crime and Compliance

Francesco Lalli is a ranked expert in business criminal law, currently holding the position of Managing Associate within the White Collar Crime, Investigation, and Compliance department in our Rome office. He possesses nearly two decades of experience advising leading companies and prominent individuals in the business and finance sectors, both nationally and internationally.

His expertise spans a wide range of areas, including strategic consulting and litigation defense concerning the administrative liability of entities (pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001), criminal law pertaining to financial markets, health and safety, and environmental, tax, corporate, and insolvency criminal law.

He has developed significant experience in designing, implementing, and updating Organizational, Management, and Control Models under Legislative Decree 231/2001. In this capacity, he has assisted numerous companies across various industrial and financial sectors in structuring internal control systems to prevent unlawful activities. Notably, he has advised leading multinational corporations on the preparation and updating of their compliance programs, ensuring adherence to national and international regulations on anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, and the repatriation of illicit capital. This includes a strong focus on the provisions of the FCPA and the UK Bribery Act, as well as the comprehensive export control regulatory framework.

Mr. Lalli further distinguishes himself through his established proficiency in conducting defensive investigations, designed to protect the legal privilege associated with investigative findings.

Additionally, he serves as President of the Supervisory Bodies (Organismi di Vigilanza) under former Legislative Decree 231/2001 for several prominent Italian companies and Italian subsidiaries of international groups operating in strategic economic sectors
