Jan Einar Barbo joined Arntzen Grette in August 2025 and is a member of the firm's Construction and Dispute Resolution practice groups. He is recognised as a Hall of Fame lawyer in Construction by The Legal 500, having been top-ranked in the field for many years, and is ranked as a Senior Statesperson by Chambers and Partners, where he has been continuously recognised for 18 years.

Jan Einar holds a PhD in Construction Law and has nearly three decades of experience advising on major and technically complex construction, infrastructure, and industrial projects. He assists public and private clients throughout all phases of projects, from procurement strategy and contract negotiations to project execution, final settlements, and dispute resolution.

He has extensive experience advising on large-scale public infrastructure projects, and his practice also covers energy projects, water and wastewater infrastructure, carbon capture initiatives, and other major industrial developments.

Jan Einar has represented clients in numerous construction disputes before both courts and arbitral tribunals and also acts as an arbitrator and mediator. He is widely regarded as one of Norway's leading construction law practitioners, recognised for his strategic advice and ability to resolve complex disputes through negotiation and mediation.
