Position
Stuart Stock is an experienced competition lawyer with extensive expertise in large and complex competition law matters. He advises across the full spectrum of competition law, with a particular focus on multi-jurisdictional merger control and investigations, where he has developed significant specialist knowledge.
Stuart is qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales, in addition to being admitted to practice as a lawyer in Norway. He has previously worked with competition law at major law firms in London and Brussels and at the UK competition authority, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).
In addition to his international experience, Stuart is recognised as one of Norway’s leading competition lawyers. He is ranked as both a Future Leader by Lexology Index and a Next Generation Partner in Legal 500, where he is described as knowing “every detail of ourbusiness [with] the ability to focus on just what is important for us in every given task”.
Stuart regularly speaks at conferences and has published widely on topical competition law issues, including merger control, the application of competition law in the renewable energy sector, and developments in Norwegian foreign direct investment laws. He is the current author of the chapters on Norwegian merger control and Norwegian FDI in Lexis+, as well as the chapter on EEA merger control for Practical Law.
Outside of his fee earning work, Stuart is also a member of the Committee for International Lawyers at the Norwegian Bar Association.
