Jan works in Schjødt's dispute resolution department and specialises in litigation and arbitration. He has extensive litigation experience across a wide range of legal areas, including contract law, administrative law, human rights, labour law, and criminal law. 

In addition to handling disputes, Jan advises businesses on change management processes, out-of-court crises and conflicts, regulatory issues, and compliance matters. 

Jan is admitted to the Supreme Court of Norway and has litigated many cases involving contract law, petroleum taxation, administrative law, human rights, labour law, and procedural law, among others. 

He is also a Professor II at BI Norwegian Business School. Jan graduated from the University of Oslo. He holds a PhD from the University of Aarhus and completed Harvard Law School's "Leadership in Law Firms" program. 

Before joining Schjødt, he was a partner at Wiersholm and an attorney at the Office of the Attorney General, representing the Norwegian government in numerous litigation cases.
