Adriana Stoian heads the tax team at Schoenherr Romania. With over 25 years of professional experience in tax and accounting advisory services, she is a recognised specialist in her field in Romania. She currently runs the firm's tax advisory practice, covering the full range of expert advice, with a focus on M&A, restructurings and tax disputes. Adriana has a strong track record in advising on tax matters in connection with general taxation aspects, local and cross-border transactions and contractual dealings, as well as intra-group matters (e.g. transfer pricing) and mandatory disclosure requirements (DAC6). Her client portfolio includes companies active in a variety of industries, such as energy, manufacturing, retail, real estate, food and agriculture. Before joining Schoenherr in 2021, she practised with a Big4 multinational, a major oil & gas company, and in national law and tax firms. She is a Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) and is a member of the Romanian Chamber of Tax Consultants.
