Poul Schmith

Rasmus is head of the firm’s construction department. He has more than 20 years' experience advising on tendering, contracts and procurement-related issues, as well as complex litigation matters within the infrastructure and construction sphere. Rasmus has been involved in some of the largest and most complex construction, infrastructure and PPP projects in Denmark. By way of example, he acted as legal adviser to the owner on the two largest PPP contracts ever concluded in Denmark and currently represents the owner on the largest infrastructure project in northern Europe. He represents both private and public owners, lenders, contractors and technical consultants, and provides advice in English, Danish, Swedish and Norwegian. Rasmus has extensive experience of conducting court cases and arbitration proceedings — both national and international — within the construction and infrastructure sectors. He has the right of audience before the Danish Supreme Court. Rasmus has significant experience with major urban development projects, spanning a variety of collaboration models. He has acted for both the public and private sectors in these often long-term engagements, where he is frequently retained as a trusted adviser throughout the project's lifespan. Over the past 12–14 years, he has advised on defence-related projects and has developed an unmatched understanding of this sector.
