Thomas Dithmer is an attorney specialising in digital projects, IT contracts and procurement law where he is primarily involved in IT projects and the drafting of, calls for tenders for and the negotiation of IT contracts. Thomas is also a certified IT attorney and he is certified in agile project management in IT. In that connection he also advises public authorities on procurement law and on how to plan and carry out tender processes, particularly IT procurement. Thomas has particularly advised on large and complex government IT projects essential for the digital society where Thomas has assisted the Danish Agency for Digitalisation with the procurement of the new NemID (called "MitID") (a common Danish secure login on the Internet). The project was completed in a unique collaboration between the public sector and Danish banks, and it is one of the most important and central IT projects in public and private Denmark. Thomas also advises on data protection law and on how to deal with personal data in IT contracts. Thomas gives regular talks on IT and contract law as well as on procurement law, and he is the co-author of the book on procurement law "Aktuel Udbudsret II" (in English: current procurement law II) of which he is the author of the chapter on e-procurement. Thomas has also been a lecturer at the University of Copenhagen for the past ten years. In addition, Thomas is part of Poul Schmith's High Potential Programme for specially selected employees with a high level of performance and level of ambition. Thomas was selected as a person of talent in the 2018 Berlingske Business Talent100.
