Flemming Pristed provides advice to Danish and international clients on financial regulation, funding and the green transition. His advisory services include business-critical contracts and legal issues. When providing advice, Flemming draws on his long-standing experience as a general counsel in the financial sector and the IT industry. Flemming is the co-author of the Danish text book "Bæredygtighedsret" (in English: sustainability law), the Danish textbook "Klimaret – i dansk perspektiv" (in English: climate law – in a Danish perspective), and he is a guest lecturer at the Legal Faculty of Copenhagen University in the subjects banking law, financial regulation and sustainability law. Flemming has deep insight into the financial sector as a result of his previous position as Group General Counsel with Danske Bank. He is also a former member of the Danish Financial Complaint Board and the legal committee of Finance Denmark. He also participated in the work of the Legal Committee of the European Banking Federation. Flemming advises banks, pension funds, payment institutions, issuers of electronic money, stock brokers, investment managers (UCITS and AIFM) and other licensed financial enterprises. Flemming also advises scale-ups on funding, and his practice area includes debt financing and equity financing as project financing. Flemming is an experienced legal advisor on ESG and sustainability. He advises on ESG compliance and on the application of the ESG rules in practice. He also provides advice on the Taxonomy Regulation, SFDR, CSRD/ESRS, CSDDD and greenwashing in connection with marketing. Flemming specialises in the legal aspects of Voluntary Carbon Markets (VCM) and CO2 certificates where he advises on the issue and sale of carbon credits.
