Ronan Murphy graduated from Trinity College Dublin (LLB) in 2013 and qualified in 2017. He joined McCann FitzGerald LLP as a Trainee and became a Partner at the firm in 2025. Ronan has extensive experience across a broad range of aviation finance transactions. He regularly advises both sellers and purchasers in commercial aircraft acquisitions and disposals, from single‑aircraft deals to large portfolio transactions. He also acts for a number of aircraft lessors on diverse debt financing matters (secured and unsecured) as well as on aviation‑related capital markets transactions, including aircraft portfolio securitisations and unsecured note issuances.

Ronan frequently represents aircraft lessors in connection with operating lease agreements, advising on new lease arrangements as well as complex lease amendments and restructurings. He has also advised parties involved in significant M&A transactions relating to Irish aircraft leasing companies. In addition, he has guided clients through the establishment of aviation‑related joint ventures and in negotiating servicing arrangements for aviation assets.
