Jean Pierre Kesteloot specialises in aviation and transport law (including shipping and railway) and insurance law. He acquired in-depth experience in these fields while working on numerous litigation cases on behalf of Belgian and foreign insurers and carriers.

He is the author of several publications, primarily on transport law and insurance law, including reference books on transport law (Larcier, 2020) and criminal transport law (Larcier, 2024). He teaches transport insurance law at UCLouvain FUCaM (Mons).

He holds a master’s degree in from the University of Louvain (UCL 1999). During his education he took part in an exchange program at the Université de Bourgogne, Dijon, France. In addition he holds a master’s degree in aerospace law and maritime law (ULB 2003).

Jean Pierre is a member of the Brussels Bar since 2000 and joined Liedekerke in 2015.
