Vincent Verbelen is part of the Energy Regulatory team, within our Regulatory Department.

He focuses on (Belgian and EU) energy law, both at federal and regional level.

He is mainly active in the electricity sector (especially renewables) but also intervenes in gas (including industrial gases). He assists major energy stakeholders (for advisory work, litigation or in transactions/project development) on all aspects of energy law. This includes activities like generation (onshore/offshore), transmission, supply, consumption; and matters such as market design, licenses, liabilities, subsidy schemes, PPAs, taxes, tariffs, etc.

Vincent holds a Master of Laws from the University of Antwerp (2019) and an LL.M from the University of Cambridge (2022). He has been research and teaching assistant of constitutional law at the University of Antwerp (2019-2021) and the University of Ghent (since 2024). He is the author of publications in energy law and public law.

Vincent joined Liedekerke in 2022.
