Geoffrey specialises in dispute resolution and commercial litigation.  He jointed Holmes in 2024.  He is qualified as a Solicitor in Hong Kong, England and Wales and Ireland.

Geoffrey has extensive experience on a wide range of dispute resolution matters and commercial litigation, with a particular focus on shareholders’ and directors’ disputes, injunctive relief, fraud and asset recovery proceedings, and other general commercial and contractual disputes. He also has experience in contentious winding-up, restructuring and insolvency proceedings.

He has represented multi-national companies, banks, and high-net-worth individuals from different jurisdictions across the banking, financial, and commercial sectors in Hong Kong and in the offshore law jurisdictions in the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Island and Bermuda.  Geoffrey has also advised clients in investigations conducted by financial market regulatory bodies.  He regularly represents clients in all stages of litigation, including handling Court applications and trials and has previous experience with conducting advocacy in the High Court of Hong Kong.

Prior to joining Holmes, Geoffrey was practising as a Solicitor in Hong Kong at a leading independent Hong Kong law firm and an Offshore Magic Circle law firm, during which he was also on secondment with their offices in the British Virgin Islands.

Geoffrey is a native English and Cantonese Chinese speaker and is conversant in Mardarin Chinese.
