Dr Annelise Abela is a Maltese lawyer and partner at EMD Malta. She was called to the Bar in 2014 after obtaining her Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) from the University of Malta. She subsequently pursued postgraduate studies at Queen Mary University of London, where she obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Commercial and Corporate Law in 2016.

Annelise joined EMD in 2013 as a trainee lawyer and was admitted to the partnership in 2025 within the Corporate and Commercial department. Her principal areas of practice include corporate and commercial law, shipping and aviation, intellectual property, and employment law.
