Jan Ussing Andersen specialises in technology projects, outsourcing and technology transactions and has more than 20 years of experience in the field.

He advises on the full range of technology matters, from commercial and contractual issues to complex transformation and infrastructure projects, including AI data centres and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and quantum computing. Jan also has extensive experience with complex carve-outs and M&A transactions where technology and IT infrastructure are key elements.

Jan enjoys working with people and thrives on complex projects involving multiple stakeholders. He has extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams and translating legal, technical and commercial challenges into solutions that work in practice.

He advises clients across a range of industries, with particular focus on regulated and technology-intensive sectors, notably telecommunications and digital infrastructure, pharma and life sciences, and financial services.

Through advising both customers and suppliers, Jan has developed a deep understanding of the different interests and organisational challenges on each side. He uses this insight to identify what really matters to the client and find pragmatic solutions that move the project forward.

Jan’s advice often extends beyond traditional legal advice and includes strategy and structuring of technology projects, sourcing and service models, deal structuring, procurement and tender processes, and business cases.

Across his work, Jan focuses on combining legal expertise and industry knowledge with a practical understanding of technology, organisations and business to create solutions that not only work on paper, but in practice.
