Following the announcement of the transaction in November 2024 and the approval of the project by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), Gonet & Cie SA, a Swiss private bank founded in Geneva in 1845, has completed the acquisition and subsequent merger by absorption of ONE swiss bank SA, a Swiss private bank with offices in Geneva, Lugano and Zurich, and a subsidiary in Dubai.

The newly formed entity, operating under the single brand name "Gonet" within the Arab Bank Switzerland Group, manages nearly CHF 12 billion in assets, with a particularly strong presence in Switzerland, and now provides an expanded range of products and services for private and institutional clients.

Bär & Karrer acted as legal advisor to Gonet and Arab Bank Switzerland Group throughout the acquisition and merger process.
