Career

Nuno is dual qualified (Mozambique and Portugal) and a managing associate in the firm’s Banking and Finance and Capital Market practice. Nuno is also the head of the firm’s practice in Mozambique and has developed particular expertise on projects and financings in the Mozambican and Portuguese markets.

With more than 10 years of experience, his practice spans in project finance and project development transactions, especially in the energy (including oil & gas, LNG and energy transition), natural resources and infrastructure sectors, from greenfield to secondary market. Nuno concentrates his cross-border experience acting as counsel to sponsors/borrowers, commercial banks, multilateral and bilateral development financial institutions in connection with strategic joint ventures, project management, financial structures and products, including structured finance, direct lending, asset finance, corporate lending, trade and export finance.

Nuno has a law degree from the Faculty of Law of Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a master's in administrative law - public procurement - from Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Lisbon). He also completed an LLM in international business law at Católica School of Law.

Nuno is admitted to both the Portuguese and Mozambican Bar Associations.
