Senior associate

Mariana is a senior associate in the Dispute Resolution practice. With more than 5 years of experience, her practice focuses on civil, commercial and corporate law. She also specialises in class actions involving the private enforcement of competition law, consumer law, data protection and securities law, as well as directors' liability in financial institutions. Besides this, she provides pre-litigation and litigation advice in the same areas.

Mariana graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and completed an LLM in International Commercial Law at the University College of London. In 2019, she completed a postgraduate course in M&A and corporate litigation at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

She returned to PLMJ in 2023 after working as an adviser to the Secretary of State for Tourism, Trade and Services of the Portuguese Republic - 23rd Government.
