Career

Petra is a partner in the Dispute Resolution practice and has more than 12 years' experience. She specialises in commercial and corporate litigation, banking and finance, and the private enforcement of competition law.

She regularly advises Portuguese and international clients in various sectors, including in class and collective actions.

Petra holds a law degree from Católica Lisbon School of Law and an LL.M. in international transactions from Centro de Estudios Garrigues (Madrid), in partnership with Fordham University (New York). She also holds a postgraduate qualification in arbitration from NOVA School of Law. She attended the 2nd Postgraduate Course in Law Enforcement, Compliance and Criminal Law and the XVI Postgraduate Course in Competition and Regulation, both at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

Before joining PLMJ, she worked as a lawyer at Garrigues and spent a year as a guest lecturer at Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics, teaching economic and business law.
