Senior counsel

Óscar is a senior counsel at RVA Advogados. With a consolidated career of more than 15 years in law firms and as in-house counsel, he has a wealth of experience in project management and high-level institutional relations.

He deals with a wide range of issues such as legislative procedures, licensing, compliance, advertising, pricing and contracts of various types. Óscar also has extensive expertise in foreign investment, tax, labour, oil and gas, insurance, and real estate, along with considerable knowledge in regulatory and legal matters related to combating illicit trade and tax affairs.

Prior to joining RVA Advogados, he was British American Tobacco's General Counsel for Angola and Mozambique and Ops & Commercial Counsel for other jurisdictions in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.

Previously, he was a lawyer at MC Jurist Advogados, AVM Advogados and Raposo Bernardo & Associados.
