Colin is a Partner in the Corporate and M&A Group. He is head of the firm’s Life Sciences Group, Media, Entertainment and Sports Group, and Communications Group.

Colin provides corporate, commercial, regulatory and intellectual property advice across a range of industries but in particular the life sciences, food, beverage, agri-business, media, telecoms, sports, entertainment and technology sectors. Colin advises those and other industries on mergers, acquisitions and investments, cross-border tax and intellectual property re-organisations, post-acquisition integrations and corporate treasury activities. Colin advises on the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts and arrangements a across a range of sectors, with a particular focus on IP based industries. Colin also advises on the regulation of the life sciences and media industries in Ireland.

• Advising US provider of cloud based social media management software on the acquisition of an Irish AI driven predictive media intelligence provider
• Advising an Irish co-operative on the acquisition of a controlling interest in an Irish health and nutrition ingredients business
• Advising a US pharmaceutical company on the disposal of a manufacturing plant to a Korean CMO
• Advising Spanish multinational on the acquisition of a Communications infrastructure business in Ireland
• Advising a Canadian business process outsourcing provider on an investment in an Irish business
• Advising the shareholders of an Irish medical device business on a sale to a US multinational
• Advising a US biotech company on the acquisition of an Irish biotech business
• Advising an Irish telecoms provider on the establishment of a broadcasting platform and the acquisition of a sports broadcaster
• Advising a global media company on the acquisition of an Irish television station
• Advising on the disposal of a number of radio broadcasters to a global media company
