CMS is ‘proactive and dedicated to the client’s needs’. The team handles high-profile transactions and highlights included advising Nepi Rockcastle on its €275m acquisition of the Arena Plaza retail centre in Budapest and assisting Goodman with the construction and letting of a greenfield logistics facility. Dentons advised Marathon Asset Management and MCAP Global Finance on the financing and acquisition of Népliget Center Office Building from GLL Real Estate Partners. It also assisted Starwood Capital Group with its €75m acquisition of Sofitel Budapest Chain Bridge Hotel from Orbis Hotel Group. Lakatos, Köves and Partners advises on real estate financing, development projects, acquisitions and disposals, and the team also handles portfolio management. DLA Piper Hungary’s ‘quick response times, reliability, flexibility and understanding of real estate transactions’ are praised by clients. The team advised Wing on a build-to-suit transaction for the new central office building of Magyar Telekom and assisted Lanebridge Investment Management with the €275m sale of Arena Plaza to Nepi Rockcastle. Hegymegi-Barakonyi and Partner Baker & McKenzie Attorneys-at-Law stands out for its experience in handling high-value, cross-border real estate transactions. It advised Dereif Sicav on its €54m acquisition of the Eiffel Palace office building. The ‘experiencedBenedek Kovács leads the team.

Notable work for the 'flexible' team at Oppenheim Ugyvedi Iroda included advising Lone Star and Hudson Advisors on the sale of a retail park in Hungary and advising IAD Investments on the €15m acquisition of logistics buildings in Dunaharaszti. At Siegler Bird & Bird Ügyvédi Iroda, counsel Ferenc Mátrai acts for various governmental bodies on property development projects and advised on the development of the Duna Aréna and a new national football stadium. Mátrai and managing partner David Dederick assisted Marriott International with the establishment of a new Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Budapest. It assisted SK Innovation with the establishment of a greenfield electric vehicle battery manufacturing plant in Hungary. The ‘deal-driven’ team at Cerha Hempel is active across real estate transactions and developments, as well as financing, property management mandates and disputes. It advised CA Immo on the sale of an office building in Budapest. Deloitte Legal Erdos and Partners Law Firm advised Horváth Rudolf Intertransport on the acquisition of the Prologis Park Hegyeshalom and advised Graphisoft on its transformation to a REIT. Team head Gábor Gömöri, Gabor Erdös and senior associate Gábor Babus are recommended.

Schoenherr Hetényi Ügyvédi Iroda is ‘very customer focused’, ‘reliable’, and is ‘able to keep to deadlines’. It advised Magna Automotive Europe on the long-term lease of a new production facility in Hungary. Managing partner Kinga Hetenyi and Zita Albert lead the team. Szabo Kelemen & Partners Attorneys is advising CTP Management Hungary on greenfield investments and assists Multi Group with the day-to-day management of Allee Shopping Mall. Department head Tamás Szabó, Levente Kálmán and Domonkos Kiss are recommended.

Szecskay Attorneys at Law handles real estate acquisitions and developments, and the team is particularly experienced in greenfield investment projects. It advised Alternative Economics Secondary School on the purchase of a new building for the establishment of an elementary school.
