CMS fields a team of 'excellent professionals', which includes practice head Kostadin Sirleshtov, who focuses on the energy sector; newly promoted partner Dimitar Zwiatkow, who is a key name for renewable energy projects; and senior associate Angel Bangachev, who leads the public procurement group. The team is experienced in project structuring and financing work, tender issues and energy and real estate PPPs; in a recent highlight, Sirleshtov advised an engineering client on a public procurement tender for two national railway and road infrastructure projects. Other clients include Toshiba, Petroceltic and OMV.

Dinova Rusev & Partners' experience encompasses greenfield development projects, financing issues and PPP matters with notable expertise in the energy and mining sectors. Recent highlights include advising Bulgarian Energy Holding on the financing of the South Stream pipeline project, and assisting Imerys Minerals Bulgaria with issues relating to its mining projects in Bulgaria. Anelia Dinova leads the department, which also includes regulatory expert Milen Rusev, real estate project specialist Georgi Vladov, and Iliya Grozdanov, who focuses on the energy sector.

Djingov, Gouginski, Kyutchukov & Velichkov is recognised for its infrastructure and PPP project expertise with notable knowledge of projects and concession matters in the transport and utilities sectors. Milan Pandev leads the public procurement group, which also includes Stephan Kyutchukov and Nikolai Gouginski; Pandev is a key name for power generation and distribution sector matters, Kyutchukov focuses on real estate, concession and infrastructure projects, and Gouginski handles project financing work. Recent mandates include advising Eurolease Auto on its involvement in a tender process for the leasing of 20 electric buses, and assisting Erste with the project financing of a thermal power station.

Recent highlights for the practice at Kambourov & Partners include advising a consortium including HNA Airport Group and Plovdiv Airport Invest on the concession procedure for Plovdiv Airport, and assisting Monolit on the design and construction of the third Sofia metro line project including eight new metro stations. The group recently advised Arco Capital on the refinancing and new development financing of an extension to an office park; Edison Trading, Aurubis and Axpo Bulgaria are also clients. Anna Rizova leads the group and is a key contact for cross-border investment projects, Richard Clegg focuses on the infrastructure, TMT and regulated sectors; Katerina Kraeva handles financing matters, Radoslav Mikov is an specialist in the energy field, and senior associate Katerina Novakova is experienced in the gas industry.

At Andrey Delchev and Partners - Eurolex Bulgaria, managing partner Andrey Delchev leads the practice, which also fields Magdalena Valova, who is experienced in PPPs and concession issues. In a recent highlight, the group advised Kapsch CarrierCom on its involvement in a public procurement procedure to provide communication services to the National Railway Infrastructure Company of Bulgaria. Svetlana Ganeva and Dessislava Lukarova jointly lead the practice, and senior associates Kamelia Angelova and Asya Dyankova handle concessions and PPPs.
