In this speciality the firm has broad capability, stretching from mining project joint-ventures and the negotiation of exploration and exploitation concessions, royalty agreements and contracts for the trading of mining commodities and derivative transactions; to a full range of legal and territorial issues concerning the constitution and establishment of mining concessions. Founding partner Enrique Rodríguez del Bosque specialises in mining, mergers and acquisitions, project finance and general corporate matters. Fellow partner María Teresa Güemes Fernández, provides further corporate capability – particularly as regards M&A and project financings; while Oscar Sandoval is deeply specialised in mining regulatory matters and associated compliance. Key associate Olga Martínez Pérez – whose past experience includes time at the legal department of the General Bureau of Mining Regulation (GMBR) – focuses on the legal and administrative aspects of the mining industry, in particular, mining project due diligence, M&A and relevant governmental authority relations.
