We’re delighted to announce that the Legal 500 UK 2027 rankings are now live following their publication on 1 October 2026.
The 2027 guide is the result of months of research which began in February 2026, featuring circuit-by-circuit coverage across the length and breadth of England and Wales, bespoke coverage of the Scottish advocates profession, and detailed practice area by practice area coverage in London featuring researchers specialising on the Bar.
After evaluating thousands of submissions, contacting tens of thousands of referees and conducting thousands of interviews throughout the country, the results are in.
This year’s guide sees 906 set rankings, across London and circuit, with 3968 leading silks ranked, 7,704 leading juniors and 679 barristers recognised as rising stars. This is a net increase of 41 ranked silks, 557 senior and mid-level juniors and 101 barristers between four and eight years call, despite the combination of the commercial litigation and civil fraud rankings.
