What do you see as the main points that differentiate [law firm name] from your competitors?

IT Law Team give supports for technology firms on their corporation & R&D center establishments in Turkey with providing consultancy on compulsory cyber security measurements. Dispute resolutions arising from copyright agreements, consultancy on developing business models, software rights and other kind of copyrights are other working fields of IT Law Team.

Thus, we successfully handle all legal cases before the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TURKPATENT) or the courts and also render related services as regards C&D letters, IP investigations and custom recordals.

The head of department and the partner of the IT Law Team is Sertel Şıracı, one lecturer in a University ‘s IT Law Master Program. Another lecturer Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mesut S. Çekin works with the IT Law Team in defining the consultancy steps, contents, and providing the education services. Many members of our team continue their graduate studies. SCH Law Firm has partnership with Türkisch-Deutsche Universität, and it plans to develop its educational services with digital infrastructure in this year.

The infrastructure development of Wecover is ongoing. We are planning to integrate consent management tools and other functions facilitate data controllers.

What’s the main change you’ve made in the firm that will benefit clients?

While focusing remote working process in Covid-19 Sistem Global consultancy developed digital consultancy platform edanisman.com.tr, where it transferred its education & consultancy services here.

At present for local compliance SCH Law Firm developed wecover.io software for its local and foreign counselees and other firms who services in the same area. SCH Law Firm focuses on the standardization of the Turkish data protection / privacy law compliance steps with this software, where its counselees work independently and stand on their own feet.

In addition SCH is one preferable firm especially for foreign investors who are acting as data exporters from Turkey and looking legal compliance on their international data transfers and for innovators who are looking for compliance with their ideas not to face data protection /privacy compliance risks.

Can you give us a practical example of how you have helped a client to add value to their business?
