Formichella & Sritawat respond to questions from Legal 500 Asia Pacific

1) What do you see as the main points that differentiate Formichella & Sritawat from your competitors?

Formichella: There are many talented attorneys in Thailand; thus, differentiation is a challenge. We have made the conscious decision to specialize in particular areas of law and avoid a generalist approach to various legal subjects.

2) Which practices do you see growing in the next 12 months? What are the drivers behind that?

Formichella: Tech and FinTech will continue to grow with the constant push in innovation in all sectors of the economy. With geopolitical considerations there is likely to be a push in manufacturing relocation, especially in tech sensitive processes, to Thailand and other SE Asian nations.

3) What’s the main change you’ve made in the firm that will benefit clients?

Formichella: Increasing our knowledge base and experience in specific areas of law to provide efficient and effective advice.

4) Is technology changing the way you interact with your clients and the services you can provide them?

Formichella: Yes. For example, cross-border communication is mostly through video, which avoids misunderstanding in written language (especially with different language speakers). With video communication, parties can brainstorm, clarify, and communicate effectively in nuanced differences in law, culture, and procedures.
