Founder Charles Tchuente, explains how the firm is adapting to clients’ changing needs
What do you see as the main points that differentiate CT-Avocats from your competitors?
CT-Avocats is comprised of many lawyers with different legal background, who have been assigned to different departments in the firm which encourages specialization and thus bring out the best possible outcome for our clients. The firm is also distinguished by the circle of legal formation, which helps to furnish clients with efficient solutions to their everyday legal issues.
Which practices do you see growing in the next 12 months? What are the drivers behind that?
In the next 12 months, the attractiveness of Africa will be reinforced, making it conducive for foreign investors in Africa, and the services of law firms will become much more solicited in accompanying their business activities in the region.
Due to the Political stability of African states and the demographic nature of African countries, Investors will find a market in the continent which is still to be exploited.
What’s the main change you’ve made in the firm that will benefit clients?
The firm has laid emphasis on the specialization of lawyers, so as to give timely and efficient solutions to clients, as well as the filing system of case files which permits clients to see in real time, the actual situation of their file.
We have a resourceful library which helps us develop our legal research within a short notice. Large volumes of books by well-known authors along with references for legal research are available at our library. Furthermore, we also have access on the different online legal research services which is very significant for new-generation law firms. Technology is something we have always prioritized since we are breathing in Digital in the world.
Is technology changing the way you interact with your clients, and the services you can provide them?
Yes, in this digital age CT-Avocat has adapted to the trending mode of operation. Technology has also made communication to clients easy, with a facile which they can access the entire details of their files at any moment of the day.
Can you give us a practical example of how you have helped a client to add value to their business?
Our continuous legal formation in the firm equally affects our clients positively wherein they are continually kept apprised of the latest laws, jurisprudence and practices regarding their sector of activities.
The general legal survey given to clients habitually, gives them a calm head in carrying out their business activities, knowing all legal, judicial, fiscal and administrative issues are being taken care of by the firm.
Are clients looking for stability and strategic direction from their law firms – where do you see the firm in three years’ time?
It is the firm’s objectives to ensure the stability of clients in their business activities at all times, reasons for the continuous legal development.
Moreover, in the nearest future, which is in three (3) years, it’s one of our objectives to open an environmental and forestry department.
Furthermore, after opening a branch I Paris (CT-Avocats) France, we intend to open another branch of the firm CT-Avocats in the OHADA area of practice
