Career

Nicolás Luco concentrates in civil and commercial Litigation and Arbitration, national and international. He has also ample experience in energy arbitration and litigation, before courts and other adjudicating bodies.

He teaches Civil Procedure Law in the Catholic University of Chile and is currently Head of its Procedure Law Department.  He has taught at other universities and constantly teaches at the Judicial Academy, where future judges are educated and current ones undertake advanced courses.

He is one of the 19 members of the Board of the Chilean Bar Association.

Mr. Luco has been consistently ranked in the top tiers in Dispute Resolution in Chambers and Partners.

He joined Claro & Cia. in 1995, spent years 2000-2001 in Shearman & Sterling, New York, and became a partner of Claro & Cia. in 2005.
