Alejandra Echeverría joined the firm in 2013 and was named partner in 2021. She has 14 years of experience as transactional lawyer and her professional practice is mainly focused on the development, financing and acquisition of energy and infrastructure projects. She represents contractors, developers, investors, financial institutions, development banks and multilateral agencies in the development and financing of projects under all kinds of legal, contracting and financing arrangements in various industries including transportation (highways and toll roads, ports, railways and airports), power (conventional and renewable), transportation and storage of hydrocarbons. She also provides advice and assistance to clients in project-specific regulatory matters.

Ritch, Mueller y Nicolau, S.C.‘s projects capabilities centre on assisting local and international banks (acting as both lenders and sponsors), as well as energy companies, with the development, financing and acquisition of infrastructure projects. In addition, the group is equipped to advise a range of investors on the acquisition of projects. The practice group is co-directed by Federico Santacruz González, who is well-versed in the construction of renewable and non-renewable power plants, and project-related M&A, as well as associated due diligence. Fellow practice co-head Jorge Oria y Anaya primarily assists sponsors, lenders, and equity investors with power, oil-and-gas, and water-related transactions.
