Career
Carlos is a Senior Associate at BLP’s San José office in Costa Rica. He specializes in the practice areas of Business Law and Insurance & Reinsurance.
In Business Law, he is experienced in advising national and transnational companies on day-to-day matters. He has participated in mergers and acquisitions representing both multinationals and local companies.
In the area of Insurance & Reinsurance, he has extensive knowledge of the applicable regulations, as well as experience in authorization processes, licenses for insurers and insurance intermediaries, as well as in drafting insurance contracts and defending insurance claims. In addition, he provides advice on the preparation and review of contractual provisions related to insurance coverage.
He joined the BLP team as a legal assistant in 2012 and was promoted to Associate in 2014.
