Career
Daniela is a partner in the Natural Resources Practice Area, specializing in regulatory and commercial advice in the electricity sector, both to the agents that already participate in the market, consumers and potential investors interested in developing electrical activities.
She has significant experience in legal and strategic advice in disputes and dispute resolution in the electricity market, in the preparation of market studies, as well as in the negotiation of electricity supply contracts. Her experience in bidding processes for power and energy contracting allows her to offer consulting services that go from the awarding process stage to the development of energy projects in general.
Before joining Rubio Leguía Normand, Daniela worked as Legal Coordinator of the Legal Management of the Supervisory Body for Investment in Energy and Mining (Osinergmin), where she provided regulatory advice on matters under the supervisory body’s competence and participated in the drafting of regulatory proposals and regulations applied to the electricity, liquid hydrocarbons, natural gas, and mining sectors.
Daniela has various specializations in regulatory matters applied to the electricity, hydrocarbon, mining and environmental industries.

The deep bench includes Milagros Maraví who, drawing strength from her background in public law, deals with public investment projects for private investors and public entities; Franco Soria, whose focus lies within land acquisitions and purchases; and Daniela García Belaunde, who predominantly acts for energy and natural resources clients thanks to her in-depth knowledge of the development of power projects.
